We're here to help you maintain a healthy, beautiful smile for life.
Clear Vivera™ Retainers Protect Your Smile
Vivera™ retainers are custom-made from smooth material that fits over your teeth. They are virtually invisible and easy to remove when eating or brushing. This option allows you to smile with complete confidence while keeping your teeth perfectly in place.
Traditional Hawley Retainers Offer Durability
Hawley retainers use a proven design that combines a sturdy wire attached to an acrylic base. This option is both durable and highly adjustable, allowing our doctors to fine-tune your fit over time. They are simple to clean in warm water and come in many fun colors.
Bonded Retainers Provide Permanent Stability
A bonded retainer features a small, durable wire attached directly to the back of your front teeth. Because it stays securely in place all day and night, you never have to worry about losing it. It offers a permanent, worry-free way to keep your teeth straight and aligned.
How Do You Protect Your Retainers?
Taking care of your retainers is easy when you follow a simple routine. Always store your clear or Hawley trays in their protective case whenever you eat or swim. Keep them clean and away from heat and curious pets, and your retainers will stay in great shape for years.
Retainers Reviews
Love this office and the people I’ve been coming here for years sad to say (WEAR YOUR RETAINERS) but they are amazing !!! FIVE STARS !!!
Dr McMillian is so kind & compassionate with her patients! I had an appointment today to get new retainers after 8 years of having my braces off and she still approached me so kindly & friendly. All staff were super welcoming and polite!
Dr. McMillian is an amazing orthodontist! I was in braces from 2014 to 2017 — I’m so happy with my smile! I still see Dr. McMillian when I need new retainers! She loves building relationships with her patients & so does her team. Milli & Dana did some of my adjustments when I was in treatment and they are both are a part of her team today!
I have been going to McMillan Orthodontics since I was a kid and at the time had braces. After braces my smile has been beautiful and my teeth were perfectly aligned. Due to me not wearing my retainers as often as an adult my overbite came back and my teeth shifted slightly but not much. Because of this I’ve decided to get Invisalign with McMillan Orthodontics and so far the process is easy and amazing. McMillan Orthodontics staff are so sweet and friendly! I definitely recommend them if you are wanting to enhance your smile!
I can’t say enough great things about Dr. McMillian and her amazing team at McMillian Orthodontics! This is actually my second time using them (lesson learned — wear your retainers 😅), and they’ve been nothing but kind, professional, and patient with me through the entire process.Dr. McMillian is incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything clearly, making you feel completely confident in your treatment plan. Ms. Dana has also been wonderful, always friendly, attentive, and so supportive during each visit.I also want to give a special shoutout to Allison at the front desk! Her customer service is top-notch; she’s always welcoming, organized, and goes above and beyond to make scheduling and communication easy. The entire team here truly makes you feel like family. I highly, highly recommend McMillian Orthodontics to anyone looking for an orthodontist who truly cares about their patients.

Common Questions About Orthodontic Retainers
How do you clean a removable retainer?
Brush your retainer once a day with a soft toothbrush and regular toothpaste to remove plaque and prevent odors. Rinse it with warm water rather than hot water so the plastic does not warp.
What should I do if my retainer breaks?
Please contact our office immediately if your retainer is lost or damaged. To keep your teeth from shifting, avoid adjusting your retainer yourself, and remember to bring your appliance to every follow-up visit.
